Aging affects each system of the body in different ways. Here are some main effects of aging on the skin:
- The skin gets thinner and less elastic.
- There are fewer sweat glands.
- Fat loss makes it hard to maintain body temperature.

- Pressure sores and skin tears.

- Signs of infection (like redness, swelling, pus and skin that is warm to the touch).
