Recipe: Easy Cheesy Macaroni

Easy Cheesy Macaroni: Serves 6 (Each 3/4 cup serving has 250 calories, 380 mg of sodium and is 2 carb choices.)
Homemade macaroni and cheese is the ultimate comfort food.In this one-pot recipe, the macaroni is cooked directly with the milk and water - no draining needed. Two kinds of cheese make a creamy and full-flavored sauce.Choose your favorite cheese blend for a unique dish. Bake with extra cheese for a special treat.

Ingredients
- 2 c. elbow macaroni, uncooked
- 1 ½ c. water
- 1 c. low fat milk
- 4 oz (1 c.) sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 2 oz. (1/4 c.) American processed cheese, cubed¼ tsp. salt½ tsp. onion powder
1. Measure water and milk into a medium saucepan. Bring just to a boil. Watch carefully to prevent boil over.
2. Add the macaroni and reduce heat to medium. Cook until just tender (about 8 minutes) stirring ocassionally. Most of the liquid will be absorbed.
3. Add the processed cheese, onion power and salt. Stir until the cheese is completely melted.
4. Remove from the heat and stir in the shredded cheddar cheese.
